Opinion Essay

Should Students Wear School Uniforms?

Do you think wearing school uniforms has any advantages? It is one hundred percent of people agreed with the question in my data. However, there are some arguments for wearing or not wearing school uniforms. Some students think wearing uniforms is not fashionable because they want looking unique and differentiate themselves from others. In contrast, I agree wear school uniforms because of several advantages that result from wearing them.
First of all, if students wear uniforms, they can save a lot of time when they are choosing clothed and they can focus on their school work. Actually, there are Five-sixths of the people spend more than 20 minutes for choosing their cloth every day in my data. Obviously, many people waste a lot of time for choosing clothes before they go to school, and they never want to spend time to study. In fact, Reef, my classmate, agreed with me. She said that “Students cannot focus their school work because they spend time for care about how people look them”.  For example, after my sister received her score of final exam from her school, she always said she didn’t have enough time to prepare for exams. However, she spent two or three hours to choose the clothes that she wanted to wear every day. Therefore, I thought if she spent the same two or three hours to study, she might have enough time to prepare for her tests. So, I think if wearing uniforms, it might help them to save a lot of time and to improve their grades.
Secondly, wearing uniforms could help schools to distinguish their students easily because all students would wear the same uniform in school. Also, the school should isolate strangers who are not allowed to enter the school and keep the school safe. In the statistics, there are 90 percent of people agree with students wear school uniform could be protect. For instance, when I was in junior high school, all students were ordered to wear the uniforms every day. One day, a stranger entered our school and bothered the students. Students were scared. After a while, the stranger was caught by a teacher. Then the teacher said that he could catch the stranger easily because he did not wear our uniform. In fact, wearing the uniform not only helps schools distinguish their students easily, but also it helps to protect students. Also, my roommate, JT said “It is a good idea. Because students wear same cloth in school, they can be protected.”
Furthermore, students don’t make fun of others as much when everyone is wearing a uniform. Some students like to analyze the clothes that people wear. My classmate, Lorena said “Even though she knew that is wrong, she had made fun of others when she was in high school.” Some students are poor; they don’t have money to buy nice clothes. Students might laugh at poor students’ clothes. For example, most of my classmates in my senior high school, always wore gorgeous clothes, and they liked to judge the cloth which classmates wore. A few of my classmates couldn’t buy new clothes constantly also they didn’t have enough money to buy nicer clothes. So, they were frequently made fun of. In fact, if we wear uniforms, that will not be happening.
To sum up, wearing school uniforms has many advantages. Students can save a lot of time to choose cloth every day, be easily distinguished from strangers, and experience less teasing regarding their clothing. So, I think students should wear school uniforms.

Red Envelopes
Red envelopes are money that we give our family or friends when we celebrate any joyous occasion. There are several meanings of red envelopes when we give them to others. In fact, we always give even numbers of money in a red envelope because pairs mean good things will be doubled. For example, when my cousin got married, my mother gave 2200 NT dollars for her of a red envelope, which means she wished the couple would be happy forever. Also, we give red envelopes on the Chinese New Year because the color of red in Chinese culture means happiness. When we give red envelopes, we hope others will have a new and good beginning in a new year. By the way, that means hoping others’ wishes will come true. Moreover, sometimes we give others red envelopes because we want to encourage him or her. For instance, my sister had won a singing competition, and my mother gave her a red envelope because my mother hoped she would never give up and keep hard. All in all, red envelopes represent celebration and blessing.

To Being A Successful IECP Student

To Being A Successful IECP Student
There are some steps to being a successful IECP student. A successful IECP student should arrive in class on time, finish their homework on time, and study hard. First of all, students should be in class on time because they may have a completely new lesson. For example, when I studied in junior high school, my best friend was always late to class. She missed a lot of important notes in the classes. When we had a final exam, she got a really bad score. Secondly, students need to finish their homework on time because they might have new homework to do after class every day. If students don’t finish the schoolwork on time, it will affect students’ learning. For instance, my cousin could not follow lessons correctly because he usually didn’t finish his homework on time. So he missed many opportunity to practice. Third, a successful student has to study hard because students are responsible for their own education. Accordingly, nobody can help them to study or do exams. In addition, I left my home country to study in the U.S. alone because I want to improve my English ability. If I don’t study hard, I will not be taking advantage of this opportunity to improve my English. In conclusion, being in class on time, finishing the homework on time, and studing hard are very important behaviors for a student who wants to be a successful IECP student.

Traveling to foreign country happen for different reasons. First of all, expenecing a foreign travel could help us make new friends from different countries. For example, my sister visited to the U.K alone. When she took a bus, a man sat near by her. He helped her find a store, and they exchanged their e-mail addresses. Even though my sister came back, they still kept in touch. Scondly, when visiting in foreign countries, we can try special foods from different countries. For instance, I had ever been to Holland, and I visited a factory which made cheeses. I tasted flovers that I had never tried before, but I am sure I didn't like it. However, it's a special experience for me. Third, we can visit foreign coutries and try to wear many different traditional clothes they wear. In addition, my mother went to India last year with her friends. They had a party in a hotel, and they wore the traditional dressing from India. My mother said she never imagined wearing that kind of clothing before. In conclusion, expenecing foreign travel could help us have more special experiences, so  there are different reasons to have foreign travels in my opinion.
